Water-Saving Toilets
When it comes to toilets, water use is measured in gallons per flush or gpf. Older, less efficient toilets used 3.5 gallons of water per flush or more.

Single-Flush Toilets
- Delivers the same consistent flush with every use
- Most save water by using only 1.28 gallons of water per flush, although models from 1.0 gpf to 1.6 gpf are also available

Dual Flush Toilets
- Buttons or levers offer the choice between a light or full flush
- Saves water by using as little as 0.6 gallons of water for a light flush and up to 1.6 gallons for a full flush
